From zero Google revenue to £177k in nine weeks on Google Ads

A UK pet accessory store had grown fast on Meta and left Google untouched: no campaigns, no feed, no tracking. We built the channel from scratch and scaled it to five-figure monthly profit within nine weeks.

Every number below is purchase conversion value reported straight from the Google Ads account.

Case Study Walkthrough

The starting point

The brand launched in April 2026 and grew fast on Meta, spending six figures there within months. Google was untouched: no campaigns, no feed, no tracking, zero revenue from the channel. The founder knew the demand was there but had no capacity to build a second channel himself.

“Before I reached out, I had zero Google revenue. The brand is only three months old. I just didn’t have the bandwidth to start learning Google Ads on my own.”

— Founder, UK pet accessory store
No Google presence at all

No campaigns, no product feed, no purchase tracking. The channel had to be built from nothing.

Everything riding on one channel

Six figures a month through Meta and nowhere else, with all the concentration risk that carries.

A three-month-old brand

Little brand search volume to lean on, so growth had to come from non-brand demand.

No founder bandwidth

Learning Google Ads in-house wasn’t realistic while the Meta side was scaling.

What we did

Live fast, prove profitability on a small structure, then scale only on evidence.

01

Went live in days, not weeks

Signed at the end of May, with the first campaigns active within days.

“Five days later, we had the campaign active.”

02

Started lean and deliberate

Rather than launching a sprawling account, we built a tight structure that could prove profitability fast: Performance Max on an optimised product feed, a bottom-of-funnel search campaign around high intent harness queries, and brand search kept separate so it could never flatter the growth numbers.

Performance Max Non-brand search Brand, ring-fenced
03

Measured purchases properly from day one

Purchase tracking through a single primary conversion action with data-driven attribution, so every budget decision was made against real revenue rather than soft events.

04

Scaled on evidence

June proved the model at a 7.6x blended ROAS on modest spend. From there budgets were raised step by step, from around £165/day to £570/day, with each increase justified by the return holding above target. July spend was 4x June’s, and revenue scaled with it.

05

Kept the traffic honest

Ongoing search term work split ad groups by intent, added negatives for non-converting collar, lead, and competitor terms, and kept non-brand performance measured on its own, where it runs well above target even before brand is counted.

Built the next phase while delivering this one

TripleWhale attribution is integrated across the full funnel, top Meta creatives are being lined up for demand generation campaigns, and international expansion into the US and Canada is queued as the next growth lever.

By late July, non-brand campaigns alone had generated £71,971 in revenue on £15,278 spend, an estimated £30,000+ in contribution profit, with a month of the quarter still to go.

And because the brand runs serious spend on Meta, the channels can be compared directly.

What the founder says

“We’ve now grown to 16% of our revenue coming from Google, but only 8% of our ad spend is Google. Our return on ad spend is much better on Google than it is everywhere else.”

— Founder, UK pet accessory store
